So I was literally reacting to this news of Lovecraft country, the upcoming HBO series, so I didn't find out all the information beforehand, because I didn't want to give myself too many spoilers. <br /><br />People were saying that it had nothing to do with Lovecraft, but after watching the trailer and reading up on it after I watched the trailer, I found out that it's actually based on a novel of the same name which claims to be a conjunction between the horror fiction of HP Lovecraft and racism in the United States during the era of the Jim Crow laws.<br /><br />The author expressed it as being set in White America.
