Make your Inspire 1 great again...Part 1...
Inspire 1 Firmware v1.10.xx cripples video Tx...

Roll back your Inspire 1 to v1.08.xx...

After experimenting with THREE Inspire 1's, I'm thoroughly convinced that firmware version 1.10.xx throttles back the Inspire's video transmission wattage. The good news is that you can fix this by simply downgrading or "rolling back" the firmware to firmware v1.8.

This video may be helpful:

https://youtu.be/fEhjTpsW2Zo

NOTE: Firmware v1.9.xx is buggy with controller v1.6. So I would just go back to v1.8.

Get most legacy firmware versions here:

http://www.panorobot.com/dji/inspire_firmwares.htm

To get versions 1.9.xx and 1.10.xx:

1) Go here: http://www.dji.com/inspire-1/info#downloads

2) From the "Select Product" pull-down menu, select "Zenmuse X3"

3) Download FW v1.10.1.40 and v1.9.1.30 (they are in .zip format).

======================================

TO GET PAST THE v1.11 "no roll back allowed" BOTTLENECK:

Create a BLANK file with NO EXTENSION, and put it in the root director of your MicroSD card.

For X5 or X5R camera, file name = WM610_FC550_FW_DEBUG

For X3 camera, file name = WM610_FW_DEBUG

Also include the v1.10 .bin file (you can go directly to v1.08 if you wish). Power up and allow the update to occur. This one takes a LONG TIME. Up to 40 minutes!!

I have not tested this, but according to others, this SHOULD work. Please comment below your experience.

EDIT 11/4/17: Some are claiming that the DJI Go app would not allow them to fly until they updated their firmware. I have not experienced this. Every time I start the app, I'm told that new FW versions are AVAILABLE, but I simply ignore and exit out of the warning. You should do the same. That said...

It seems the latest versions of the Go app are forcing users to login to DJI. I was bitten by this the other day. Here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7dkj6ISIgE

So I have decided to roll back the Go app to version 3.1.1. This is a hack that can only be done through iTunes v12.5.4.42. One YouTuber, digdat0. Here's one of his videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7Re0q1NRgs&

NOTE: Steve from DigDat0 recommends iTunes v12.3.1.xx However, I have discovered that v12.5.4.42 is a better version. After discussing it with Steve, he agreed that v12.5.4.42 is the better version.

As of this writing (12-16-2018), you can get the 64-bit version here:

https://www.softerm.net/software/itunes-125442-64-bit/2594

You can get the 32-bit version on the same website.

Please enjoy, share and subscribe. Thank you!
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmX_MESi86o
