The Church of the Nonbinaries is a schismatic sect of the Church of Trans which arose, in my experience, around 2015-2016. It is characterized by the belief that the "binary" is not connected to a female- woman combination ("cis woman") but the idea that woman and man as genders independent of sex are the binary. They then believe that there are demigods known as "nonbinary gender identities" that can be communed with/prayed to for relief from symptoms of mental illness.<br /><br /> The more organized sects are frequently extremely predatory towards those with mental illness and social pragmatic language disorders. It can be subdivided into the United Church of the Internal Congruence, which believes in medical transition to the end of physically resembling the personal icon of the gender identity, which may include nipple removal and "nullification" (Barbie doll mode), and the Discipleship of the Disaffected. <br /><br />DotD do not appear to typically seek medical transition due to identifying as different already (no need to becone congruent with appearance or other nonbinary people), based on available data. DotD tend to be less predatory, based on available data, and are less organized and less of a proselytizing religion, and so the sect is smaller.
