Two Light Switches or Energy Diversity?
So what's the big deal, it just looks like two different light switches.

Well yes, that's what it is on the surface. The traditional in-wall toggle switches control separate mains powered 4 ft. tube fixtures, using 40W and 120W with the now converted T8 LED tubes. That used to be 320W total with the T12 fluorescent lamps.

The dual gang RV light switch controls about 25W and 60W of 12VDC LED strip light installed on the ceiling of my shop. This is directly powered off the DC load output of my solar charge controller. During the day, this power comes in right off the solar panels and is not stored in the battery nor converted from one voltage to another. As such it is incredibly efficient light.

I can also use it out of the batteries at night or on a cloudy day, but I normally opt for the mains powered lights since that is less wear and tear on the battery bank.

For now, I've left the wiring exposed since I'm still working on the system. I may ultimately cover it but with a Class 2 circuit (obtained via a 7.5A/12VDC fuse), it's not required to conceal the wiring for safety.

Be sure to rate, comment and share.

And as always, thanks for watching!

SOUNDTRACK:
Lousiana Fairytale by Austin Rogers
http://drfiddle.com/show_tune.php?id=94
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5cYl64gnHc
