After the Hillsboro EDC meeting on April 24, 2026 was shut down over a wrong address on the public agenda, I went straight to Hillsboro City Manager Megan Henderson to ask questions the public deserved answers to.
What I had not shown until now: the city’s economic development projects were being discussed under code names like Project Dispatch, Project Freeze Pop, and Project Iron Current.
In this video, you will hear Megan Henderson explain that Project Dispatch is tied to the Provident-GRH data center project, Project Freeze Pop is tied to a cold storage project, and Project Iron Current still remains unclear. The public deserves plain-English notice when public land, public resources, infrastructure, water, power, tax incentives, and development projects are being discussed — not mystery code names buried in agendas.
This is not just about one bad agenda. This is about whether Hillsboro citizens are being fully informed before major development decisions are made in their backyard.
