❗️Earlier today Al-Akhbar correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that Israeli forces advanced from the Taybeh project towards the towns of Adshit al-Qusayr and al-Qantara until they reached Wadi al-Hujayr early this morning.
The Lebanese army closed the road leading to Wadi al-Hujayr, while Merkava tanks roamed the valley, coinciding with an intensive combing of its forests.
Israeli forces also abducted and shot a Lebanese citizen, Hossam Fawaz, in Wadi al-Hujayr while he was on his way to work. He was transferred by a Lebanese army ambulance after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers.

OHCHR spokesperson Jeremy Laurence said, “Israel’s pattern of deadly attacks on and around Gaza’s hospitals pushed the healthcare system to the brink of total collapse.”
The report exposes the catastrophic destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system between 12 October 2023 and 30 June 2024, detailing 136 strikes on 27 hospitals and 12 medical facilities.
These attacks killed doctors, nurses, medics and civilians, with the deliberate targeting of hospitals potentially constituting a war crime.
